Sweetbay Montessori School

An Early Childhood & Elementary Montessori School

COVID-19 Response

The Sweetbay campus is temporarily closed to students and visitors in accordance with the guidance from the Florida Department of Education and current recommendations from public health agencies.

During this time of classroom closure, distance learning for our school-aged students is guided by individual work plans, supported with Montessori materials provided by the school. All students and their parents have regular remote interaction with their classroom teacher and opportunities to remain in contact with their classmates through school-provided resources. Resources and information for our current families are on our Family Portal.

Our Admissions Process for the 2020-2021 school year has been modified to comply with current public health recommendations, so the process will be completed by phone, internet, and US Mail until we are allowed to reopen the campus. Prospective families should contact us for details as we expect the process to evolve as guidance to schools for the COVID-19 situation mature

Spanish Language Program for Elementary Students

Sweetbay has partnered with The Language Studio to provide a Spanish Language program for our Elementary students two days each week. The students learn Spanish language and culture through hands-on play and exploration. This dynamic program introduces basic phrases and builds vocabulary with the goal of having the students interact using the Spanish language.
