Sweetbay is growing to serve our community!

Sweetbay  is seeking experienced teachers to join our small but growing  independent, teacher-led, non-profit Montessori school.  Our school is  in its second year, and we are seeking Montessorians who will be  enthusiastic members of our collaborative community, assisting in the   development of our school and programs.


Positions are 10-month, full-time with competitive salaries and increasing benefits as our school grows.

Positions:

Assistant Teacher

Early Childhood (ages 3-6) Teacher

Early Childhood (ages 3-6) Teacher

The  primary duties for this position are to assist the lead teacher in the  Children’s House (ages 3-6) and/or the Elementary classroom (grades  1-3), and to supervise children in the Extended Day program. The ideal  candidate is responsible, energetic, organized, and comfortable outdoors  with experience with or good knowledge of Montessori education.

Position  is open to applicants with at least 3 years of experience in early  childhood education. The ideal candidate will have already earned a  Montessori Early Childhood Credential, but a training sponsorship to an  accredited Montessori Early Childhood teacher training program may be  available for applicants who are otherwise exceptionally qualified.

Position  is open to applicants with an AMS Elementary I or an AMI Elementary  credential and a minimum of 3 years experience in a Montessori  classroom.

A  training sponsorship to an accredited Montessori Elementary II teacher  training program may be available for applicants interested in leading  the development of our Upper Elementary program.
